Today an agency associate came into my office to inform me of a comment from a new client. Our agent was informed by the new client that they were paying more for their insurance coverage to come to our agency. That was a breath of fresh air!
This customer made many of the familiar remarks that are heard by insurance agents… “our coverages were much better, and your professionalism was unlike anything I have experienced. But there was another remark that struck me as something that we often over look in our day to day business operations. The new client said one of the main reasons that I am coming to you was because the agent and the entire staff was nice to the me over the phone!
The impression that a client, new or existing has of your business is often placed upon the daily interaction they have with the staff members of the business. A simple hello… how may I help you…. thank you… we appreciate your business… or have a nice day can mean a great deal to that individual.
The lack of basic human interaction and curtesy can also doom a business or any relationship. So many business organizations have destroyed their level of service in the name of profits!
